Use this task to extract shareable quotes from one episode with Quote Finder. You can listen to the exact moment, edit the speaker and the text, copy the quote in three formats, or create a clip from it. ## Before you start * You need Content Hub access. See [Get started with Content Hub](/documentation/create-and-publish/production/content-hub/get-started-with-content-hub.md). * The episode needs an uploaded audio or video file. {% tabs %} {% tab title="Classic view" %} Optional: set your tone and banned phrases in [Set brand guardrails](/documentation/create-and-publish/production/content-hub/set-brand-guardrails.md). Quote Finder shows **Brand voice active** when guardrails exist. ### Find quotes 1. In the sidebar, select **Quote Finder**, then open **Find Quotable Moments**. 2. Select the episode. 3. Under **Quote Settings**, set the **Number of quotes** (3 to 10, default 5). 4. Select the **Quote type**: Memorable, Insights, Controversial, Actionable, Story, Funny, or Mixed. 5. Select the **Quote length**: **Short (1-2 sentences)**, **Medium (2-4 sentences)**, **Long (4-8 sentences)**, or **Flexible**. 6. Optional: enter **Custom instructions**. 7. Select **Find Quotable Moments**. 8. If the page shows **Preparing episode content...**, wait. Podigee prepares the episode content in the background and continues when it is ready. Each suggestion shows the quote, **Why this quote:** and a confidence percentage. Open the quote. The page shows **Quote**, the speaker, **Timestamp**, and **Why This Quote**. If no speaker is known, the page shows **Unknown Speaker**. 2. Under **Copy Quote**, select **Plain text**, **With attribution** (quote and speaker), or **With timestamp** (quote, speaker, and the time in the episode). 3. Under **Listen to Quote**, play the moment. Switch on **Loop playback** to repeat it. 4. To make a clip from the quote, select **Create Clip from Quote**. Clipper opens with the episode, the start time, and the end time already set. ### Edit a quote 1. Open the quote and select the edit action. 2. Change **Quote text**, **Speaker** (use **Quick select...** to select an episode contributor), **Start time (seconds)**, **End time (seconds)**, or **Status**. 3. Save the quote. ### Expected result Saved quotes have the status **Ready** immediately and appear in the content pack of the episode. The page shows **Quote saved successfully**. The list of existing quotes for an episode shows up to 10 quotes. ### If you cannot complete the task * The page shows **Preparing episode content...** for a long time: the episode content is still in preparation. Reload the page later. * The message **This episode doesn't have audio yet. Please upload audio first.** appears: upload the episode media first. * No suggestion fits: select **Discard** for the unwanted quotes and run **Find Quotable Moments** again with another **Quote type** or new **Custom instructions**. {% endtab %} {% tab title="Podigee workspace" %} In the Podigee workspace you find quotes on the **Find quotes** page of an episode. You open this page from the **Amplify** section of the episode. On the page you get quote suggestions, keep the quotes that you want, and copy or remove them. The workspace does not include the brand guardrails, the copy formats **With attribution** and **With timestamp**, the edit of a saved quote, loop playback, and **Create Clip from Quote**. The workspace also does not include the Content Hub dashboard, the catalog, and the content packs. Use the classic view for these functions. The plan of the account owner must include Content Hub, also when you are a team member. A team member other than the owner or an admin also needs the organization permission **Content Hub**. The owner or an admin sets this permission in the classic view. ### Open Find quotes 1. Open the episode and go to the **Amplify** section. The section shows the heading **Amplify this episode**. You can also select **Repurpose: \[episode title]** on the **Overview** page. This quick action names the current draft or the latest published episode, and it opens the **Amplify** section. 2. On the **Find quotes** card, make sure that the card shows the pill **Ready**. 3. Select **Open tool**. The **Find quotes** page opens. The first time, the **Amplify** section shows the card **How the tools work** with three steps. To hide this card, select **Hide introduction**. The card then stays hidden on all shows and episodes. You cannot show it again. The tools and the list of outputs do not change. ### Find quotes 1. On the **Find quotes** card, look at the pill in the card head. Continue when the pill shows **Content ready**. 2. If the card shows "Episode content is needed", select **Prepare episode content**. Wait until the pill shows **Content ready**. This can take a few minutes. 3. Select the **Quote type**: **Memorable**, **Insights**, **Provocative**, **Actionable**, **Story**, **Funny**, or **Mixed**. The default is **Mixed**. 4. Select the **Quote length**: **Short**, **Medium**, **Flexible**, or **Long**. The default is **Flexible**. 5. Select the **Number of suggestions**, from 3 to 10 quotes. The default is 5 quotes. 6. Optional: in **What should the quotes focus on?**, enter a theme or an audience. 7. Select **Find quotes**. While Podigee works, the button shows **Finding quotes**. The page says "Usually ready in under a minute." ### Review the suggestions The **Suggested** card shows one card for each suggestion. The suggestions are proposals. Check each quote against the episode before you use it. Each suggestion shows the speaker and the time in the episode when they are known. It can also show the quote type and a strength pill: **Strong**, **Fair**, or **Loose**. Below the quote, a player lets you listen to the moment, and a short text tells why the quote was selected. 1. Play the moment to make sure that the quote is correct. 2. Optional: to shorten the quote, open **Edit wording** and change the text in **Quote**. The hint says "Trim the ends. Rewriting the words means it is no longer what was said." 3. To save the quote, select **Keep**. 4. To copy the quote text, select **Copy**. The button shows **Copied**. 2. To remove a quote, select **Remove**. The dialog **Remove this?** shows "This removes the saved quote. Finding it again means running the tool again." 3. Select **Remove** in the dialog to confirm, or **Cancel** to keep the quote. ### Expected result * After **Keep**, the page shows "Quote saved." The quote moves from **Suggested** to **Kept**. * After **Dismiss**, the page shows "Suggestion dismissed." * After **Remove**, the page shows "Quote removed." * After **Copy**, the button shows **Copied** and the quote text is on your clipboard. * After **Prepare episode content**, the page shows one of these notices: * "The episode content is being prepared. This can take a few minutes." * "The episode content is already being prepared." * "The episode content is ready." * Each kept quote also shows in the **Amplify** section under **Created from this episode**. Select **Open in Quotes** to go back to the **Find quotes** page. ### If you cannot complete the task The pill in the head of the **Find quotes** card shows when the episode content is not ready: * **Content needed**, with "Episode content is needed" and "Prepare this episode before finding quotes.": select **Prepare episode content**. * **Preparing content**, with "Episode content is being prepared" and "Come back when preparation has finished.": wait, then reload the page. * **Content queued**, with "Episode content is queued" and "Come back when preparation has started.": wait, then reload the page. * **Recording needed**, with "A recording is needed" and "Add a recording before finding quotes.": add a recording to the episode in the classic view. The workspace cannot add a recording yet. When Podigee refuses **Prepare episode content**, the page shows one of these alerts: * "You cannot prepare content for this episode.": your plan or your access does not include Content Hub for this show. See the plan and access messages below. * "Add a recording to this episode first.": add a recording to the episode in the classic view. * The page shows "The episode content is already being prepared." for a long time: the preparation can have failed. The workspace cannot start it again. See [Content Hub generation failed](/documentation/connect-and-administer/troubleshooting/content-hub-generation-failed-or-content-is-not-ready.md). When **Find quotes** does not work, the page shows one of these alerts: * "Quote suggestions need the episode content, which is not ready yet. Try again once it is.": the episode content is not ready. Wait until the pill shows **Content ready**, then select **Find quotes** again. * "Quote suggestions could not be created. Try again, or change the quote type or what the quotes should focus on.": select **Find quotes** again, or change the **Quote type** or **What should the quotes focus on?**. When **Keep** does not work, the page shows "The quote could not be saved." Below the alert, a band can tell you what to do next: * "This episode has no recording yet.": add a recording to the episode in the classic view. * "The episode content has not been prepared yet.": select **Prepare episode content**. * "The episode content is still being prepared. Try again when it shows "Content ready".": wait, then try again. * "Your plan or your access did not include this tool when it ran. Try again.": try again. If the plan or the access changed, see the plan and access messages below. * "This is already being created. It appears here when it is ready.": wait, then reload the page. * "The service behind this tool did not answer. Try again in a few minutes.": wait a few minutes, then try again. * "If it fails again, contact support.": try again. If it fails again, select **Contact support**. Other messages on the **Find quotes** page: * "Copy did not work. Try again.": select **Copy** again. * "Your session ended. Reload the page and copy again.": reload the page, then select **Copy** again. * "This output is no longer available.": the quote was removed. Reload the page. When your plan or your access does not include the tool, the **Find quotes** card in the **Amplify** section shows the pill **Not available**. When you open the page directly, the page shows the same message: * "Your plan does not include quotes." and "Upgrade to create them.": select **See plans**. The plan page opens in the classic view. * "This account's plan does not include quotes." and "\[owner] decides the plan." or "The account owner decides the plan.": select **Ask \[owner]** or **Ask the show owner** to send an email to the account owner. When the account owner has no email address, the card shows no button. * "You do not have access to quotes." and "\[owner] can give you access." or "The account owner can give you access.": select **Ask \[owner]** or **Ask the show owner** to send an email to the account owner. A collaborator on the show of a different account sees no button. Ask the show owner for access. * "Not available yet" and "We are still building this": the tool is not available yet for your account. There is no action. * The **Amplify** section shows no tool cards: your account has no subscription.
