Use this tutorial to open Content Hub for the first time and generate one piece of text from an episode. Content Hub turns your episodes into reusable text, clips, and quotes with your brand guardrails applied. It uses one podcast with at least one episode that has audio. ## What you will complete At the end of this tutorial, you will have opened Content Hub and checked your access. You will also have your first generated text as a draft. ## Before you start * Sign in to Podigee with an account that has an active subscription. * Content Hub is available on the current Podigee plans, or on an older plan that includes it. * In an organization, the owner and admins can use Content Hub directly. Every other member needs the per-member toggle **Content Hub** in the organization permissions. Ask your organization owner to turn it on for you. * Content Hub works on podcasts that you own, that belong to your organization, or where you can edit episodes. It does not work on podcasts where you only collaborate. * Have at least one episode with uploaded audio or video. {% tabs %} {% tab title="Classic view" %} ### Before you start * If your plan does not include Content Hub, Content Hub shows an upgrade page instead of the tools. ### Follow the tutorial #### 1. Open Content Hub 1. In the top navigation, select **Content Hub**. 2. If the podcasts list shows a Content Hub teaser card, you can also select **Open Content Hub** there. Expected result: The Content Hub home page opens with the headline **Content Hub** and the question **What do you want to create?**. If you see a different page, read [If the result is different](#if-the-result-is-different). #### 2. Pick a content type 1. On the home page, use the filters **All formats** and **All platforms** to narrow the cards, or keep them open. 2. Select **SEO Blog Article**, **LinkedIn Announcement**, or **Newsletter Block**. These cards open Text Composer. The card **Vertical Video Clips** opens Clipper. Expected result: Text Composer opens with the selected format. #### 3. Pick the podcast and episode 1. In the source picker, select the **Podcast**. 2. Select the **Episode**. The list shows the newest episodes. 3. Check the episode status. **Ready for AI** means the episode content is prepared. **Content not ready** means Podigee still prepares the episode content in the background. Wait and reload the page. Generate the first text 1. Keep the default options or set **Content length**. 2. Start the generation. Expected result: The page shows **Generation started.** and the status moves from **Queued** to **Generating** to **Completed**. The generated text opens in the editor. #### 5. Save the text 1. Read the text in the **Editor** tab and check the **Preview** tab. 2. Select **Save** to keep your edits, or **Approve** to mark the text as ready. Expected result: Podigee stores the text as an asset in the content pack of the episode. You find it under **Content Packs** and under **Catalog**. ### Check your result 1. In the sidebar, select **Content Packs**. 2. Open the pack of your episode. The pack lists your new text with its status **Draft** or **Ready**. ### If the result is different * The page says **Content Hub is part of the current Podigee lineup** with the button **Upgrade to use Content Hub**: your plan does not include Content Hub. The account owner can change the plan. * The page says **Content Hub isn't included on your organization's current plan**: use **Send a friendly note to your organization owner** to ask the owner to change the organization plan. * The page says **Ask your organization owner to enable Content Hub for you**: use **Email your organization owner** to ask for the per-member toggle **Content Hub**. * The page says **Claim Launch to use Content Hub on your own podcasts**: your account only collaborates on other people's podcasts. Content Hub stays unavailable on podcasts you only collaborate on. Select **Claim free Launch plan** to use Content Hub on your own podcasts. * The message **You don't have access to the Content Hub yet.** appears and the podcasts list opens: your account does not pass one of the checks above. Ask the account owner or organization owner. #### Ask the owner for AI access This applies when you edit a podcast as an editor or organization member. If the owner's plan does not include AI, the AI features in the episode editor show **AI access needed**. Select **Ask the podcast owner**, then **Send request**. The owner receives an email with the subject "\[your name] wants AI enabled for "\[podcast title]"" and the button **Review plans**. Podigee shows **Your request has been sent to the podcast owner.** {% endtab %} {% tab title="Podigee workspace" %} In the Podigee workspace, Content Hub is the **Amplify** section of each episode. The section holds three tools: **Create clips**, **Find quotes**, and **Create text**. There is no separate Content Hub page. The workspace does not include the Content Hub Dashboard, Ask Podie, Outline Creator, Catalog, Content Packs, and the brand guardrails. **Create text** offers three formats: **LinkedIn post**, **Newsletter block**, and **SEO article**. The other Text Composer formats are only in the classic view. You also use the classic view to change the plan and to add a recording. The plan of the account owner decides which tools you get, also when you are a team member. A team member other than the owner or an admin also needs the per-member toggle **Content Hub**. The owner or an admin sets it in the classic view. The show rules in "Before you start" also apply in the workspace. ### Open the Amplify section 1. Open the episode. 2. Select **Amplify** in the sections of the episode, or scroll to the section **Amplify this episode**. You can also start on the **Overview** page. The quick action **Repurpose: \[episode title]** opens the **Amplify** section of the current draft or of the latest published episode. When the show has no episode, the quick action reads **Repurpose an episode**. When you cannot open the section, the quick action is disabled. The section shows the kicker **Amplify**, the title **Amplify this episode**, and the text "Create shareable clips, quotes and written posts from this episode." ### Read the introduction When the plan and your access include Content Hub, the section starts with the **Get started** card **How the tools work**. It shows three steps: 1. "The tools work from the episode content, which is prepared from the recording. Open a tool; start once it shows "Content ready"." 2. "Each tool suggests drafts for you to review. Nothing is posted until you copy or download it." 3. "Everything you create is listed under "Created from this episode"." When your plan includes a monthly clip allowance, the card also shows "Clips this month: \[remaining] of \[included] left. The allowance resets on \[date]." Every clip that you create in the month counts, also a clip that you remove later. Below the card, the section shows the three tool cards in this order: * **Create clips**: "Find strong moments, review them and render shareable clips." * **Find quotes**: "Extract, review and save quotes from this episode." * **Create text**: "Turn this episode into a LinkedIn post, newsletter block or article." To hide the card, select **Hide introduction**. The card closes on every show and every episode. The tool cards and the list **Created from this episode** stay. The clip allowance line is part of the card, so it does not show after you hide the card. You cannot show the introduction again. ### Prepare the episode content The tools work from the episode content. Podigee prepares the episode content from the recording. 1. On the **Create text** card, select **Open tool**. 2. Read the pill in the **Create a draft** card: * **Content ready**: go to the next task. * **Preparing content** with the notice "Episode content is being prepared": come back when the preparation is complete. * **Content queued** with the notice "Episode content is queued": come back when the preparation has started. * **Content needed** with the notice "Episode content is needed" and "Prepare this episode before creating a draft.": select **Prepare episode content**. * **Recording needed** with the notice "A recording is needed" and "Add a recording before creating a draft.": add a recording in the classic view first. 3. Reload the page until the pill shows **Content ready**. This can take a few minutes. The pill and the notices are the same on the **Create clips** and **Find quotes** pages. Podigee does not disable the buttons of a tool when the content is not ready. A draft that you start before the content is ready can fail. ### Create your first text 1. On the **Create text** page, select one **Format**: **LinkedIn post**, **Newsletter block**, or **SEO article**. 2. Optional: in **What should this draft focus on?**, add the audience, the angle, or the tone. 3. Optional: enter a **Call to action** and a **Call to action link**. 4. Select **Create draft**. The button reads **Creating draft** while Podigee works. The hint states "Usually ready in a couple of minutes." 5. Under **Your drafts**, find the new draft. Select **Refresh status** to check the status. The status moves from **Preparing** or **Queued** to **Creating**, then to **Ready**. 6. Read the draft. The draft is a proposal. Check the facts, the names, and the tone before you use it. 7. To change the text, select **Edit**. Use the **Edit** tab to change the text and the **Preview** tab to read it. Select **Save**. 8. To use the text, select **Copy**, **Export Markdown**, or **Export PDF**. To get a new version of a completed draft, select **Regenerate**. To delete a draft, select **Remove**. This can take a few minutes." * "The episode content is already being prepared." * "The episode content is ready." * After **Hide introduction**, the **Get started** card is gone. Podigee shows no notice. * The **Amplify** section lists your draft under **Created from this episode**, with the newest item first. Each item shows its status: **Draft**, **Ready**, **Queued**, **Processing**, **Failed**, or **Archived**. Select **Preview** to read the item, or **Open in Text** to open it in its tool. Clips show **Open in Clips** and quotes show **Open in Quotes**. * After six items, the list shows **Show \[count] more**. * With no items, the list shows "No outputs yet" and "Choose a tool above to create something from this episode." * While an item is queued or in process, the list updates itself every few seconds. After some time, the list shows "Automatic updates have paused. Reload the page to check again." Reload the page. ### If you cannot complete the task * A tool card shows the pill **Not available** with "Your plan does not include clips.", "Your plan does not include quotes.", or "Your plan does not include written posts." and "Upgrade to create them.": your plan does not include this tool. The section shows no **Get started** card. Select **See plans** to open the plan page in the classic view and change the plan. * Only **Create clips** shows "Your plan does not include clips.": your plan includes Content Hub, but no clips. **Find quotes** and **Create text** stay **Ready**. The **Get started** card shows, but without the clip allowance line. * A tool card shows "This account's plan does not include clips.", "This account's plan does not include quotes.", or "This account's plan does not include written posts." with "\[owner] decides the plan." or "The account owner decides the plan.": the plan of the account owner does not include the tool. Select **Ask \[owner]** or **Ask the show owner** to write an email to the owner. When the owner has no email address, the card shows no button. * A tool card shows "You do not have access to clips.", "You do not have access to quotes.", or "You do not have access to written posts." with "\[owner] can give you access." or "The account owner can give you access.": you do not have the per-member toggle **Content Hub**, or the show does not meet the show rules in "Before you start". Select **Ask \[owner]** or **Ask the show owner** to write an email to the owner. When you only collaborate on the show of another person, the card shows no button. * A tool card shows **Not available yet** and "We are still building this": Content Hub is not available for your account yet. The card shows no button. * The **Amplify** section shows no tool cards: your account has no subscription. Content Hub needs an active subscription. * You open the address of a tool directly and the page shows the lock and one of the texts above: the same plan or access rule applies. Do the step that the text names. * The **Get started** card does not show, but the tools show **Ready**: you hid the introduction earlier, or you closed the Content Hub welcome in the classic view earlier. The tools work the same. * "You cannot prepare content for this episode.": your plan or your access does not include Content Hub for this show. Read the tool card in the **Amplify** section. * "Add a recording to this episode first.": the episode has no recording. Add a recording in the classic view. * The pill stays at **Preparing content** for a long time and **Prepare episode content** shows "The episode content is already being prepared.": possibly, the preparation failed. The workspace cannot start it again. Contact Podigee Support. * "Content generation could not start.": Podigee did not start the draft. Below the message, a band tells you what to do. * A draft shows **Needs attention** with "The episode content was not ready yet. Try again once it is." or "The draft could not be written. Try again.": read the band below the message, then select **Try again**. * "The export did not work. Try again.": select **Export Markdown** or **Export PDF** again. The band below a refusal or a failed draft shows one of these texts: * "This episode has no recording yet.": add a recording in the classic view. * "The episode content has not been prepared yet.": select **Prepare episode content**. * "The episode content is still being prepared. Try again when it shows "Content ready".": wait, then try again. * "Your plan or your access did not include this tool when it ran. Try again.": try again. If the tool card shows a plan or access text, follow that text. * "The allowance resets on \[date]." or "More clips this month need a larger allowance.": the monthly clip allowance is used. The message above the band is "The monthly clip allowance is exhausted." Wait for the date, or select **See plans**. A team member selects **Ask \[owner]** or **Ask the show owner**. When the owner has no email address, the band shows no link. * "This is already being created. It appears here when it is ready.": wait for the result. * "The service behind this tool did not answer. Try again in a few minutes.": wait a few minutes, then try again. * "If it fails again, contact support.": try again.
