This task shows how to activate a workspace in the Podigee Audio Video Ad Server. Activation prepares the governed Monetization area for Campaign, Inventory, creative, approval, and reporting work. It does not publish an ad or change podcast delivery. ## Before you start You need: * A Podigee plan that includes Monetization. * Access as the account owner, organization owner, or an active organization administrator. * The correct account or organization open in Podigee. * Agreement on who will operate Monetization and how important work will be reviewed. If your organization, authorized shows, or legal operating scope is wrong, stop before activation. Correct the Podigee account or organization first. ## 1. Open the setup screen 1. Open Podigee. 2. Select **Monetization** in the product context switch. 3. Confirm that **Control Room** shows **Prepare your monetization workspace**. 4. Check the workspace selector in the left sidebar. **All monetization** means every show that the current account or organization is authorized to manage. 5. It does not reserve Inventory, publish Campaigns, or switch the audio or video delivery path. ## 2. Activate the workspace 1. Confirm that you are the owner or an active organization administrator. 2. Select **Activate monetization workspace**. 3. Wait for the Control Room to reload. 4. Confirm the message **Your governed monetization workspace is ready**. Activation creates the first workspace access, standard operator role, approval policies, measurement definitions, and other system defaults. It uses the current Podigee account or organization as its authority. ## 3. Activation does not add sample Campaigns or make ads live.* Do not treat the workspace-ready message as a delivery confirmation. A Campaign can serve only after its commercial terms, Inventory, creative, ad breaks, checks, and publication are complete. ## 4. Check the first operator and workspace defaults 1. Go to **Monetization > Monetization settings**. 2. Confirm that the workspace state is **active**. 3. Check the default time zone and currency. 4. Check the enabled currencies. 5. EUR, GBP, and USD are enabled. Change these values before you create commercial records if your operation uses different currencies. A later currency change does not rewrite existing commercial evidence. ## 5. Choose how work is reviewed 1. Go to **Monetization > Monetization settings > Review rules**. 2. Read the three review modes. 3. Keep **Solo confirmation** when one person operates the workspace. 4. Use **Optional review** when a requested review should provide advice but should not block work. 5. Delivery, rights, media, and security checks always stay on.* The initial rules use **Solo confirmation**. A changed rule applies to future actions.* ## What activation does not create Activation does not create: * Commercial accounts, brands, or seller authority. * Publisher or delivery policies for your shows. * Inventory packages, Campaigns, Flights, or capacity reservations. * Audio or video creatives. * Finance authority, invoices, payouts, or accounting mappings. * Live ad delivery. Complete these items as you prepare your ad operation. Their separate setup keeps commercial, editorial, delivery, and finance authority explicit. ## If you cannot activate the workspace Check these items in order: 1. Confirm that the current plan includes Monetization. 2. Confirm that you are using the correct Podigee account or organization. 3. Confirm that you are the owner or an active organization administrator. 4. Reload **Monetization > Control Room** and try the action once more. 5. If setup still fails, do not create another account or organization. Contact Podigee Support with the workspace name, the time of the attempt, and the error message. A failed activation leaves the workspace unconfigured. Nothing is published. ## Result The Monetization workspace is active. The first operator can continue setup, the initial currency and review defaults are visible, and no ad delivery has started.
