# Add and manage Flights

Add an audio or video Flight to a Campaign, review its capacity, and create a safe new version when its delivery plan changes.

Use a Flight to define one planned ad delivery in the Podigee Audio Video Ad Server. A Flight joins one media format, Inventory package, delivery destination, schedule, goal, measurement rule, price, and audience plan.

Create a separate Flight when the delivery plan needs a different media format, schedule, goal, Inventory package, price, or delivery destination.

## Prerequisites

Before you start, make sure that you have these items:

* Permission to plan Campaigns in Monetization.
* A Campaign workspace.
* A published Inventory package that supports the required media and dates.
* An authorized buyer brief or order.
* A delivery goal, price, budget, schedule, and target audience.

## Review the existing Flights

1. Open **Monetization**.
2. Select **Campaigns**.
3. Open the required Campaign.
4. Find the **Flights** section.
5. Review the existing Flight names, goals, Inventory packages, capacity, and Creative assignments.

Use a clear Flight name. Include the format, market, channel, or purpose when this information helps your team identify the plan.

## Add a Flight

1. Select **Add flight**.
2. Enter the **Flight name**.
3. Select **Audio** or **Video** under **Media kind**.
4. Select the **Inventory package**.
5. Select the **Delivery destination**.
6. Select who delivers the demand.
7. Enter the **Primary goal**.
8. Confirm the **Billable unit** and **Measurement contract**.

The editor keeps the plan in one guided form. Scroll within the form to review the commercial goal, targeting, frequency, pacing, and price before you submit the proposal.

9. Enter the start date and end date.
10. Select the target markets and content categories.
11. Set the frequency cap, pacing, priority, and guarantee class.
12. Confirm the price model.
13. Enter the Flight budget and rate.
14. Enter a short reason for the proposal.
15. Select **Propose flight**.

The proposal does not change live delivery.

## Check an overlapping or similar Flight

Podigee permits separate Flights with overlapping dates. This behavior supports coordinated audio, video, market, and channel plans. Podigee does not assume that two similar Flights are duplicates.

Before you confirm a new Flight, compare it with the existing Flights:

1. Compare the Flight name and purpose.
2. Compare the media format and delivery destination.
3. Compare the Inventory package and target audience.
4. Compare the dates, goal, rate, and budget.
5. Stop if the new Flight repeats the same authorized delivery plan.

If the overlap is intentional, keep each Flight separate. Forecast and reserve each Flight against its exact version.

## Forecast and confirm the Flight

1. Review every proposed value.
2. Select **Calculate forecast**.
3. Wait until Podigee shows the requested quantity, available quantity, and expected range.
4. Confirm that the available capacity supports the goal.
5. Review the required approval process.
6. Set the effective time.
7. Select **Confirm and add flight**.

Podigee adds the Flight to the Campaign. Live delivery still stays unchanged until the Campaign passes its launch checks and is published.

## Adjust an existing Flight

1. Open the Campaign.
2. Find the Flight in the **Flights** section.
3. Select **Adjust flight**.
4. Change only the values that the new instruction authorizes.
5. Enter the reason for the change.
6. Select **Save new Flight version**.

7. Review the complete proposed version.
8. Calculate a new forecast.
9. Complete the required review.
10. Confirm the new version.

A reservation belongs to one exact Flight version. Review the reservation after every adjustment.

## Resolve a problem safely

| Problem                                       | Safe action                                                                                                                                      |
| --------------------------------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ |
| The required Inventory package is unavailable | Confirm that it is published and supports the Flight media, dates, destination, and measurement rule.                                            |
| A media or measurement option is unavailable  | Select a compatible Inventory package or correct the delivery plan. Do not substitute a different unit.                                          |
| The new Flight repeats an existing plan       | Close the proposal. Use **Adjust flight** if the existing Flight needs a change.                                                                 |
| Two Flights have overlapping dates            | Confirm that they have separate authorized purposes. Forecast and reserve each exact Flight.                                                     |
| The forecast shows insufficient capacity      | Reduce the goal, change the schedule or Inventory, or publish more authorized supply. Then calculate a new forecast.                             |
| The forecast is no longer current             | Select **Refresh forecast** before you confirm the Flight.                                                                                       |
| You proposed incorrect values                 | Select **Adjust again** and replace the proposal before you confirm it.                                                                          |
| You added an unwanted Flight                  | Do not reserve it, assign a Creative, or publish the Campaign. Adjust it to the authorized plan, or ask a workspace administrator to resolve it. |
| You changed an existing Flight                | Calculate a new forecast and review its reservation. Do not rely on evidence from the earlier version.                                           |

## Expected result

The Campaign contains a separate audio or video Flight with an exact schedule, Inventory package, delivery destination, goal, measurement rule, price, and audience plan. The Flight has a current capacity forecast and a recorded version history.

Next, reserve capacity for the exact Flight version. Then assign an eligible Creative.
