# Create or link a Commercial account

Create a new Commercial account or link an existing organization to your commercial work.

This task shows how to create or link a Commercial account in the Podigee Audio Video Ad Server. A Commercial account identifies an organization, its first brand, its legal entity, and its role in commercial work.

Use this task before you plan a Campaign or upload a Creative for a new advertiser, agency, buyer, seller, or billing recipient.

## Before you start

You need:

* Access to **Monetization** and permission to manage Commercial accounts.
* The public name and organization type.
* The registered country and website domain.
* The first brand name and its closest category.
* The registered legal name, company registration number, billing address, and default currency.
* The roles that the organization has in the transaction.

Do not create a second account for the same organization. Search for the organization before you add it.

## Understand the account and its roles

A Commercial account keeps three facts together:

* **Organization:** The business that takes part in the commercial relationship.
* **Brand:** The name that listeners or viewers recognize.
* **Legal entity:** The registered business that contracts or receives a bill.

The organization can have one or more transaction roles:

* **Buyer:** Buys the advertising.
* **Agency:** Acts for another commercial party.
* **Advertiser:** Promotes its brand, product, or service.
* **Contracting party:** Signs the commercial agreement.
* **Billing recipient:** Receives the bill.
* **Seller:** Sells the advertising inventory.

Select one role as the primary role. Podigee uses it as the main relationship label. A Commercial account does not replace seller authority or a representation agreement.

## 1. Search for the organization

1. Go to **Monetization > Campaigns**.
2. Open **Commercial accounts**.
3. Enter the organization name, website, or country in **Find a commercial account**.
4. Use **Organization type** to limit the results when necessary.
5. Select **Apply filters**.

## 2. Add the organization and brand

1. Select **Add commercial account**.
2. Enter the **Display name**.
3. Select the **Organization type**.
4. Select the registered **Country**.
5. Enter the **Website domain** without a page address.
6. Enter the first **Brand name**.
7. Select the closest **Category**. You can add the full brand classification later.

## 3. Select the transaction roles

1. Select each role that the organization performs.
2. In **Primary role**, select the role that best describes the main relationship.

The primary role must also be selected in the role list. Podigee disables a primary role that is not selected.

## 4. Add the legal and billing details

1. Enter the **Registered legal name**.
2. Enter the **Company registration number**.
3. Enter the **Tax identifier** when it is available.
4. Enter the **Billing address**.
5. Select the **Default currency**.
6. Select **Create and use account**.

Podigee creates the organization, brand, legal entity, and transaction relationship together.

## Resolve a possible duplicate

Podigee checks the organization name, company registration number, website domain, and connected brand domains. If a possible match exists, Podigee does not create a second account.

1. Review the reason shown for the match.
2. Select **Review and use account** when it is the same organization.
3. Correct the entered details only when the organization is genuinely different.

If the page also says that the action was already submitted, do not submit it again. Use the latest result and continue with the matching account.

## Link an existing account

Use this path when the organization already exists but you need to use its brand and legal entity in the current commercial relationship.

1. Open **Commercial accounts**.
2. Select **Use existing account**.
3. Search for the organization.
4. Select the Commercial account.
5. Select its **Brand** and **Legal entity**.
6. Select the roles that apply to this relationship.
7. Select the primary role.
8. Review **Current roles** and **Roles after saving**.
9. Select **Use this account**.

When you start this task from a Campaign or Creative, Podigee returns the selected commercial context to that task after the required brand classification is complete.

## If Podigee blocks the action

* **Required details are missing:** Complete the organization, brand, legal entity, roles, and primary role.
* **The primary role is unavailable:** Select that role in the transaction role list first.
* **A matching account exists:** Review and use the existing account.
* **The organization is not in the existing-account list:** Create a new Commercial account.
* **The brand or legal entity is missing:** Select an account that has both, or complete the missing account details first.
* **You cannot add or link an account:** Ask a workspace administrator for permission to manage Commercial accounts.

Podigee keeps the entered identity details when it asks you to resolve a duplicate.

## Result

The Commercial account contains a known organization, brand, legal entity, and explicit transaction roles. You can now classify the brand and use this commercial context in Campaigns, Creatives, billing, and reporting.
