# Launch your first audio and video campaign

Plan, reserve, prepare, launch, and measure one Campaign with audio and video Flights.

This tutorial shows how to launch one audio and video Campaign in the Podigee Audio Video Ad Server. You will plan separate audio and video Flights, reserve capacity for each Flight, assign the correct creatives, complete the launch checks, and review separate delivery results.

Keep the measurement units separate. An audio Flight can use qualified audio impressions and a cost per thousand (CPM) rate. A video Flight can use qualified video starts and a cost per view (CPV) rate. Do not add these quantities together.

## Before you start

You need:

* Access to **Monetization** and permission to plan and publish Campaigns.
* One Commercial account and brand.
* One published Inventory package that supports audio and video for the required market and dates.
* One ready audio creative and one ready video creative with valid rights.
* Eligible audio and video ad breaks in the selected podcast content.
* The buyer, schedule, target, budget, audio goal, audio rate, video goal, and video rate.

First complete [Prepare for your first Campaign](/documentation/grow-and-monetize/monetization/prepare-for-your-first-campaign.md) if these inputs are not ready.

## 1. Create one Campaign with two Flights

1. Go to **Monetization > Campaigns**.
2. Select **Plan campaign**.
3. Select the Commercial account, brand, buyer legal entity, and seller legal entity.
4. Enter the Campaign name, objective, order number, dates, budget, markets, audience, and content categories.
5. Select **Audio** and **Video** as the desired media types.
6. Add one audio delivery plan. Select **Podcast apps and RSS** as its destination.
7. Enter the audio impression goal and CPM rate.
8. Add one video delivery plan. Select the required Podigee video destination.
9. Enter the video-start goal and CPV rate.
10. Continue to the proposal review.

![An audio and video Campaign proposal with the schedule, budget, markets, audience, and separate audio and video Flights.](https://2032417310-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FbqUKO6lljHGzkEAzliPI%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-961b1380986a013cc62efa5c430bdf233509e8ca%2Fdoc-monetization-007-audio-video-proposal.jpg?alt=media)

*The proposal shows separate audio and video delivery promises in one Campaign.*

Check the complete proposal. Confirm the schedule, total budget, markets, audience, audio Flight, and video Flight. The proposal does not publish ads.

## 2. Forecast and reserve each Flight

Open the Campaign and select **Capacity**. Complete the forecast and reservation for one Flight at a time.

For each Flight:

1. Check the requested quantity and available quantity.
2. Check the expected delivery range and forecast validity time.
3. Select **Recalculate forecast** if the forecast is missing or no longer current.
4. Select **Use this forecast** when the available quantity supports the goal.
5. Select **Reserve capacity**.
6. Check the quantity, protection period, and booking type.
7. Confirm the reservation.

Use a guaranteed commitment only when Podigee must protect the capacity for the booked Flight. Both Flights must show **Reserved** before you continue.

## 3. Correct a Flight that does not fit

Do not reserve a Flight when its requested quantity is higher than its available quantity. Adjust the goal, dates, target, or Inventory package first.

1. Select **Adjust flight**.
2. Enter the corrected delivery goal and budget.
3. Give a short amendment reason.
4. Review the proposed changes.
5. Calculate a forecast for the exact proposed Flight version.
6. Confirm that the available quantity supports the new goal.
7. Apply the amendment.
8. Select the new forecast and reserve capacity again.

*The amendment review shows the commercial change and capacity before the new Flight version takes effect.*

A reservation belongs to one exact Flight version. An earlier reservation does not move to an amended version without confirmation.

## 4. Assign the audio and video creatives

Return to the Campaign. Assign one exact rendition to each Flight.

For the audio Flight:

1. Select **Assign creative**.
2. Search for the approved audio creative.
3. Select the eligible **Audio download** rendition.
4. Open **Preview** and listen to the creative.
5. Confirm its brand, language, duration, rights, and assignment window.
6. Select **Assign exact rendition**.

Repeat the procedure for the video Flight. Select an eligible **Video streaming** rendition and watch its preview before you assign it.

If no rendition is eligible, correct the creative format, readiness, rights, language, brand, or date coverage. Do not assign a different creative only to make the readiness state pass.

## 5. Complete the show delivery placements

The Campaign can use only podcast content with eligible ad breaks. Audio and video delivery need placements on the exact current media versions.

1. Select **Open launch checks**.
2. If the page reports a missing or old placement, open the offered episode break action.
3. In **Break Canvas**, select the current episode and preview track.
4. Inspect the episode audio, video, chapters, and proposed boundaries.
5. Save the exact placements that can carry ads.
6. Select **Use without review**, or use the review action required by your workspace.
7. Return to the Campaign launch checks.

Do not bypass a placement warning. It protects the current episode from an ad position that belongs to older audio or video.

## 6. Run launch checks and publish

On the Launch readiness page, confirm that these areas are ready:

* Commercial approval.
* Inventory and reservation.
* Creative coverage.
* Campaign setup.
* Launch checks.

Select **Prepare and check campaign** after you change a Flight, creative, reservation, Inventory package, or episode placement. The current product rules and exact versions must pass together.

If the checks pass, complete the publication action allowed by your workspace. A solo operator can publish without a second person when the workspace rule permits it. Wait until the Campaign shows the active state.

## 7. Confirm audio and video delivery

After the Campaign schedule starts, open the Campaign. Find **Delivery, pace, and revenue**.

![A live Campaign performance table with separate audio and video Flights, delivered quantities, remaining quantities, and qualified revenue.](https://2032417310-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FbqUKO6lljHGzkEAzliPI%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-acab9ac6ee034aef22d842b07a663c6f1f3ba868%2Fdoc-monetization-007-audio-video-delivery.jpg?alt=media)

*The performance table keeps audio impressions and video starts separate when one Flight has no delivery yet.*

Confirm that the page shows:

* One audio performance row and one video performance row.
* Delivered and remaining units for each Flight.
* A pace state for each Flight.
* Qualified revenue for each Flight.
* The time of the latest delivery evidence.

The example shows 28 qualified audio impressions and no qualified video starts yet. These values are not one combined delivery total. The qualified revenue can be added because both Flights use the same Campaign currency.

## If one format does not deliver

Check the affected Flight in this order:

1. The Campaign is active and its schedule has started.
2. The Flight has a current reservation.
3. The assigned rendition is ready and its rights cover the request.
4. The current episode media has an eligible break for that format.
5. The request matches the Campaign market and target.
6. The required audio or video delivery destination is active.

Select **Explain delivery** to inspect the recorded result for an eligible request. Fix the shown Campaign, creative, inventory, placement, or integration problem. Do not create a replacement Campaign to hide the problem.

## Result

You now know how to operate one Campaign with separate audio and video Flights. Each Flight has its own goal, rate, forecast, reservation, creative, placement, delivery result, and revenue value.

Next, use [Follow one ad from request to money](/documentation/grow-and-monetize/monetization/follow-one-ad-from-request-to-money.md) to inspect request-level evidence, or continue with [Launch your first host-read sponsorship](/documentation/grow-and-monetize/monetization/launch-your-first-host-read-sponsorship.md).

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.podigee.com/documentation/grow-and-monetize/monetization/launch-your-first-audio-and-video-campaign.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
