# Launch your first direct-sold audio campaign

Plan, reserve, prepare, launch, and verify one direct-sold audio Campaign.

This tutorial shows how to launch one direct-sold audio Campaign in the Podigee Audio Video Ad Server. You will plan one audio Flight, reserve its capacity, assign one creative, publish the Campaign, and confirm the first delivery and revenue.

Use a test agreement or an approved customer order. Do not promise inventory to a buyer until the capacity reservation is complete.

## Before you start

You need:

* Access to **Monetization** and permission to plan and publish Campaigns.
* One Commercial account and brand.
* One published audio Inventory package that covers the Campaign dates and market.
* One ready audio creative with valid rights for the Campaign dates.
* One audio ad break in the podcast content.
* The buyer, schedule, target, budget, impression goal, and CPM rate.

If you need help with these inputs, first read [Prepare for your first Campaign](/documentation/grow-and-monetize/monetization/prepare-for-your-first-campaign.md).

## 1. Create the Campaign proposal

1. Go to **Monetization > Campaigns**.
2. Select **Plan campaign**.
3. Select the Commercial account, brand, buyer legal entity, and seller legal entity.
4. Enter the Campaign name, objective, order number, dates, budget, market, audience, and content categories.
5. Select **Audio** as the desired media type.
6. Add one audio delivery plan. Select the Inventory package and **Podcast apps and RSS**.
7. Enter the impression goal and CPM rate.
8. Continue to the proposal review.

Check the proposal before you create the Campaign. Confirm the schedule, budget, media type, market, audience, and order information. The proposal does not publish ads.

*The proposal review shows the commercial plan and confirms that no ads run before launch.*

If your workspace requires a commercial review, send the exact proposal version to an authorized reviewer. If your workspace permits Solo confirmation or does not require a separate review, continue with the available action.

## 2. Check the forecast

Open the Campaign and select **Capacity**.

1. Select the audio Flight.
2. Check the requested quantity and the available quantity.
3. Check the expected delivery range and the forecast validity time.
4. Select **Recalculate forecast** if the forecast is missing or no longer current.
5. Select **Use this forecast** when the forecast supports the commitment.

Do not continue if the available quantity is lower than the requested quantity. Change the goal, dates, target, or Inventory package, then calculate the forecast again.

*Compare the requested quantity with the available quantity before you reserve the Flight.*

## 3. Reserve the capacity

Select **Reserve capacity**.

1. Check the Flight, requested quantity, available quantity, and forecast validity time.
2. Select the booking type that matches the buyer agreement.
3. Select **Reserve capacity** in the review window.

Use a guaranteed commitment only when Podigee must protect the capacity for this booked Flight. A soft reservation protects capacity for a shorter planning period.

*Review the quantity and protection period before you confirm the reservation.*

The Flight must show **Reserved** before you continue. If the forecast expires before you confirm the reservation, calculate it again.

## 4. Assign the audio creative

Return to the Campaign. Find the audio Flight, then select **Assign creative**.

1. Search for the creative by name, brand, or file name.
2. Select one eligible audio rendition.
3. Open **Preview** and listen to the ad.
4. Confirm that the brand, language, duration, rights, and assignment window are correct.
5. Select **Assign exact rendition**.

![The creative assignment window with the audio Flight, assignment dates, search, eligible rendition, preview, and assignment action.](https://2032417310-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FbqUKO6lljHGzkEAzliPI%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-aa03f24593e4ddfecc4e5431d8aff13909b31db7%2Fdoc-monetization-005-creative-assignment.jpg?alt=media)

*Preview the exact audio rendition that will run before you assign it.*

The Campaign must show complete creative coverage. If no creative is eligible, fix the creative format, readiness, rights, language, or date coverage before you continue.

## 5. Complete the launch checks

Select **Open launch checks**.

The Launch readiness page checks the complete Campaign setup. Confirm that these areas are ready:

* Commercial approval.
* Inventory and reservation.
* Creative coverage.
* Campaign setup.
* Launch checks.

The page also shows if a publication review is required. A Solo operator can publish without a second person when the workspace rule permits it. Automated delivery safeguards always remain active.

*Publish only when every required area is ready and the launch checks passed.*

Select **Publish campaign**. Do not change the Campaign while publication is in progress. Wait for the active state.

## 6. Confirm delivery and revenue

After the Campaign schedule starts, open the Campaign again. Use **Delivery, pace, and revenue** to check the result.

Confirm that the page shows:

* At least one Flight with qualified delivery.
* The number of delivered and remaining units.
* The qualified revenue in the Campaign currency.
* The time of the latest delivery evidence.
* The Flight pace.

![A live audio Campaign with six delivered impressions, 49,994 remaining impressions, EUR 0.17 in qualified revenue, and the latest delivery evidence.](https://2032417310-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FbqUKO6lljHGzkEAzliPI%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-a946a9a5380fedce757c9fbfe7ddaffe0d61eb9b%2Fdoc-monetization-005-delivery-and-revenue.jpg?alt=media)

*Use the live Campaign view to compare the Flight goal with qualified delivery and revenue.*

The example Campaign delivered six qualified audio impressions and recorded EUR 0.17 in qualified revenue. The remaining goal is 49,994 impressions. A new Campaign can show **Behind pace** before it has enough delivery history. Continue to monitor the pace during the Campaign window.

## If the Campaign does not deliver

Check these items in order:

1. The Campaign is active and its schedule has started.
2. The Flight has a current capacity reservation.
3. The assigned creative is ready and its rights cover the request time.
4. The podcast episode has an eligible audio ad break.
5. The listener request matches the Campaign market and target.
6. The podcast delivery integration is active.

Open **Explain delivery** when the Campaign has eligible listener requests but no qualified delivery. Use the displayed reason to fix the Campaign, supply, creative, or integration. Do not create a second Campaign to hide a problem in the first one.

## Result

You now have one direct-sold audio Campaign that is planned, reserved, prepared, published, and measured. The next tutorial follows one listener request from the ad decision to stitched audio, audience analytics, and money.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.podigee.com/documentation/grow-and-monetize/monetization/launch-your-first-direct-sold-audio-campaign.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
