# Launch your first host-read sponsorship

Request, receive, review, and connect one host-read sponsorship recording.

This tutorial shows how to prepare one host-read sponsorship in the Podigee Audio Video Ad Server. You will send a private recording request, receive the host's file and rights confirmation, complete the required review, and connect the approved recording to its Campaign context.

The example uses an audio recording. The secure contribution page also accepts supported video recordings when the sponsorship and delivery plan require video.

## Before you start

You need:

* Access to **Monetization** and permission to request, accept, review, and connect host reads.
* A Campaign with the correct commercial order, podcast content, and ad break.
* A host-read agreement with the host, schedule, compensation, disclosure, and recording rights.
* An eligible contributor record for the host or producer.
* A clear recording brief and a future deadline.
* A workspace review rule that matches how your team works.

Use **Solo confirmation** when one authorized person operates the workspace and your organization permits this method. Use an independent review rule when another person must approve the recording.

## 1. Open the host-read work

1. Go to **Monetization > Revenue jobs**.
2. Find the job that requests the host recording.
3. Open the job.
4. Confirm the host, scheduled period, compensation, and required disclosure.
5. Confirm that **Recording received** is **No** and **Media checks** is **Waiting for upload**.

Stop if the agreement or schedule is wrong. Correct the Campaign or sponsorship terms before you request a recording.

## 2. Send the private recording request

1. Select the contributor who will submit the recording.
2. Set a future deadline.
3. Enter short and complete recording instructions.
4. Include the required duration, talking points, pronunciation, offer, and disclosure.
5. Select **Send private request**.

Podigee creates a private, time-limited contribution link. Copy this link and send it only to the selected host or producer. Do not put the link in a public document or a shared channel.

If the link expires before the host submits the recording, return to the host-read work. Create a new request with a future deadline. Do not try to change or extend the expired link.

## 3. Submit the recording through the secure page

The host does not need access to the full Podigee workspace. The private link opens a restricted page for this recording request only.

On the secure contribution page, the host or producer must:

1. Confirm the displayed deadline and contributor name.
2. Select the finished audio or video recording.
3. Add a useful note for the production team when necessary.
4. Confirm the recording rights statement.
5. Select **Submit recording**.

The page accepts MP3, WAV, MP4, and MOV files. Use the format requested by the production team. Podigee keeps the rights confirmation with the exact submitted file.

The host sees **Your recording was received** after a successful submission. The private task then closes. A second submission cannot silently replace the received file.

## 4. Wait for the media checks

Return to the host-read work in **Monetization**. The page shows **Recording submitted** after the file arrives.

Wait until **Media checks** shows **Ready**. Podigee checks and prepares the exact recording before an operator can connect it. Do not approve a recording while the media checks are waiting, running, or failed.

If the checks fail, keep the sponsorship disconnected. Use the shown recovery action to correct or replace the recording. Confirm that the new exact file reaches **Ready** before you continue.

## 5. Review the recording

1. Open **Monetization > Creatives** in a second browser tab.
2. Search for the exact host-read creative.
3. Select **Preview** and play the recording.
4. Compare it with the approved brief.
5. Check the duration, brand name, offer, pronunciation, and disclosure.
6. Check that the rights cover the Campaign dates, markets, and delivery surfaces.
7. Return to the host-read work and enter a short review note.
8. Select **Accept submitted material** when the recording is correct.

Follow the human review rule shown on the page:

* For an optional review, select **Request optional review** when another opinion is useful.
* For an independent review, wait for an authorized teammate to approve the exact recording.
* For Solo confirmation, complete the displayed confirmation yourself.

Do not use another person's account to satisfy an independent review rule. Change the workspace rule only when an authorized administrator has decided that the organization can use another review method.

## 6. Connect the approved host read

Select **Approve and connect host read** after the recording is ready and the required review is complete.

This action connects the exact approved recording to its commercial order, podcast episode, ad break, rights, and prepared playback version. It does not connect an earlier upload or a different recording with the same file name.

## If you cannot connect the recording

Check these items in order:

1. The recording was received for this host-read request.
2. The media checks show **Ready**.
3. The rights confirmation is present for the exact file.
4. The required human review is complete.
5. The Campaign order, podcast episode, and ad break are still current.
6. Your role permits you to connect the host read.

Do not create a second host read only to hide the problem. Correct the failed check, then return to the same host-read work.

## Result

The approved host read is now connected to the correct Campaign context. The recording, rights, review decision, episode, ad break, and commercial order stay together.
