# Prepare for your first Campaign

Collect the minimum information for your first direct-sold audio Campaign.

Use this checklist before you build your first direct-sold audio Campaign in the Podigee Audio Video Ad Server. It helps you collect the required business information before you open the proposal form.

## Access and podcast supply

Confirm that you have:

* Access to **Monetization**.
* Permission to plan Campaigns.
* A configured Monetization workspace.
* At least one published and bookable inventory package that supports audio and covers the planned Campaign dates.
* An audio ad break in the podcast content that you plan to sell.

If these items are not ready, finish the workspace, inventory, and ad-break setup before you promise delivery to a buyer.

## Buyer and order information

Collect these commercial details:

* The commercial account for the advertiser or agency.
* The brand that the Campaign promotes.
* The buyer legal entity and the seller legal entity.
* An order number.
* The authorized commercial terms.

The Podigee Ad Server uses this information to keep the Campaign connected to the correct buyer and commercial authority.

*Start the proposal with the authorized buyer context and a clear business outcome.*

## Campaign brief

Prepare:

* A clear Campaign name.
* A short outcome objective.
* The target markets and audience.
* The start and end date in the workspace timezone.
* The Campaign budget and currency.
* At least one governed content category.

Choose dates that are inside the sales window of the inventory package.

## First audio delivery plan

For one simple audio Flight, prepare:

* **Audio** as the desired media type.
* The inventory package that contains the sellable podcast supply.
* **Podcast apps and RSS** as the delivery destination for a traditional podcast download.
* A positive audio impression goal.
* A positive cost per thousand impressions (CPM) rate.

Check the planned cost before you continue. For example, 50,000 impressions at EUR 28 CPM have a planned media cost of EUR 1,400. The planned cost must not be greater than the Campaign budget.

*Keep the first plan simple with one audio destination, one goal, and one rate.*

## Creative readiness

Have one audio ad ready for the planned Flight. Confirm its language, duration, usage rights, and Campaign dates.

You can build the Campaign proposal before you upload or assign the creative. You must complete the creative coverage before the Campaign can launch.

## Choose the review path

Your workspace review rule controls the next step:

* **Solo operation:** If the rule permits Solo confirmation, an authorized operator can complete the decision without a second person.
* **Team operation:** If the rule requires independent review, identify an authorized reviewer who did not prepare the proposal.
* **Optional review:** If the rule does not require review, you can continue after the commercial terms and launch checks are complete.

Your organization can change these rules in Monetization settings. The Campaign uses the active rule for the exact proposal version that you submit.

## Ready to continue

Go to **Monetization > Campaigns** and select **Plan campaign**. Enter the collected information and build the proposal. The next tutorial will follow this first Campaign from proposal to launch.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.podigee.com/documentation/grow-and-monetize/monetization/prepare-for-your-first-campaign.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
