# Preview and inspect Creative media

Play an audio or video Creative and check the exact media, rights, language, and delivery details before you approve or assign it.

Use the Podigee Audio Video Ad Server to play a Creative before you approve it or assign it to a Flight. A preview helps you confirm that the media and its details match the buyer brief.

Playback does not start automatically. You control when audio or video starts.

## Prerequisites

Before you start, make sure that you have these items:

* Permission to view Creatives.
* A Creative with a clean supported master or a prepared delivery format.
* The buyer brief or Campaign details that you must check.

The **Preview** action is not available when Podigee cannot provide safe media for the exact Creative version.

## Preview from the Creative library

1. Open **Monetization**.
2. Select **Creatives**.
3. Search for the Creative.
4. Check the media type, duration, preparation state, and review state.
5. Select **Preview**.
6. Select the player control to start playback.
7. Close the preview when your check is complete.

Use the library preview for a quick content check. Select **Open** when you also need to inspect rights, markets, delivery formats, or the exact version.

## Preview from the Creative page

1. Open the Creative.
2. Check the Creative version number.
3. Select **Preview**.
4. Play enough of the media to confirm the message, voice, music, and ending.
5. Select **Open Creative details** if you need to return to the full Creative page.

Podigee prefers a prepared delivery format when one is available. The preview stays bound to the exact Creative version that you opened.

## Check audio

Listen for these items:

* The correct advertising message and offer.
* The correct brand, product, voice, music, and language.
* A clean start and end.
* The expected duration.
* Clear speech and suitable audio level.
* No missing words, unwanted silence, distortion, or unrelated content.

Use headphones when small audio defects could affect your decision.

## Check video

Watch and listen for these items:

* The correct picture and audio.
* The correct language and captions.
* A suitable aspect ratio and image quality.
* A clean start and end.
* The expected duration.
* No black frames, frozen frames, missing audio, or unwanted content.

If a destination requires a specific video format, also check the **Delivery formats** section on the Creative page.

## Check the Creative details

Preview confirms the content. It does not replace the other checks. Before approval or assignment, confirm these details on the Creative page:

| Detail               | What to check                                                            |
| -------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------ |
| **Creative version** | The version is the one that the buyer or reviewer expects.               |
| **Media type**       | Audio or video matches the Flight and destination.                       |
| **Duration**         | The prepared duration fits the booked format.                            |
| **Language**         | The language matches the target audience.                                |
| **Usage rights**     | The grantor, dates, territories, and delivery surfaces cover the Flight. |
| **Delivery formats** | The required prepared format is ready.                                   |
| **Captions**         | Required captions are present and match the spoken content.              |
| **Companion asset**  | The image or other companion asset matches the Creative, when used.      |
| **Click target**     | The destination URL is correct and authorized, when used.                |

## Check a Creative assigned to a Flight

Open the Campaign and Flight when you inspect an assigned Creative. Confirm that the assigned Creative version is the same version that you previewed.

Also check these items:

* The media type matches the Flight.
* The duration fits the booked ad position.
* The language and markets match the targeting.
* The rights cover the complete delivery period.
* The required delivery format is ready for each destination.

Do not approve one version and assume that a later version contains the same media.

## Solve common problems

| Problem                                      | Cause                                                             | Safe action                                                                                     |
| -------------------------------------------- | ----------------------------------------------------------------- | ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Preview** is not available                 | The master is missing, unsafe, unsupported, or not prepared.      | Open the Creative and resolve the named media check.                                            |
| The player does not load                     | The media request failed or the prepared file is not available.   | Refresh once. If the problem remains, keep the Creative out of delivery and report the failure. |
| The duration is wrong                        | The wrong file or Creative version may be open.                   | Check the version and master. Upload a corrected version when needed.                           |
| Audio or video is incorrect                  | The uploaded media does not match the buyer brief.                | Do not approve or assign it. Upload the authorized file as a new version.                       |
| Captions or companion assets are missing     | The Creative does not have all required assets.                   | Add the missing asset before approval or destination delivery.                                  |
| The click target is wrong                    | The stored destination does not match the approved campaign link. | Correct and review the target before delivery.                                                  |
| The preview works, but assignment is blocked | Rights, review, format, market, or coverage is incomplete.        | Resolve the blocker shown on the Creative or Flight.                                            |

Do not download a file and treat it as a different version. Keep your decision connected to the version that Podigee shows.

## Expected result

You can hear or see the exact Creative media. You have checked the content, duration, language, rights, delivery format, and any companion or click details that apply. The Creative is ready for the next review or assignment step, or you have a specific problem to resolve.
