# Request and approve a host read

Send a secure host-read request, receive an audio or video recording, confirm rights, complete media and editorial checks, and connect the approved recording to the correct Campaign context.

The Podigee Audio Video Ad Server keeps a host-read recording connected to its commercial terms, rights, Campaign, episode, and ad break. The contributor receives a private upload task. The operator approves the recording only after the required checks pass.

Use this workflow when a host, producer, or other contributor must record an ad for an agreed sponsorship.

## Before you start

Confirm the host-read agreement before you send the request. The Host read delivery page shows the exact:

* Host or contributor.
* Scheduled period.
* Compensation.
* Required disclosure.
* Workspace review rule.

Do not send the recording request if these terms are wrong. Correct the commercial agreement or rights first.

## Send the private request

1. Open **Monetization**.
2. Open the host-read task from **Revenue jobs** or the connected Campaign work.
3. Confirm the agreement and schedule.
4. Select the contributor.
5. Set a future deadline.
6. Add clear recording instructions.
7. Select **Send private request**.

Podigee creates a private contribution link. The link is limited to this recording request and expires at the deadline. Share it only with the selected contributor.

Do not send the link in a public channel. If the contributor or deadline changes, create a new request for the correct person and period.

## Ask the contributor to submit the recording

The contributor does not need access to your Monetization workspace. The private page shows only the assigned recording task.

The contributor must:

1. Check the deadline and requested identity.
2. Select an MP3, WAV, MP4, or MOV file.
3. Add a note for the production team when useful.
4. Confirm that they may submit the recording for the requested advertising use.
5. Select **Submit recording**.

The page is available in English, German, Spanish, French, and Polish. The private link does not give the contributor access to Campaigns, buyers, reports, or other recordings.

## Confirm that Podigee received the file

After submission, the contributor sees a receipt. It confirms that the file was received and will pass security, media, and rights checks.

Podigee stores the exact submitted bytes and rights confirmation before media preparation starts. The recording remains quarantined until the checks complete.

## Wait for media readiness

Return to **Host read delivery** and check **Readiness**. The page separates these states:

| State                       | Meaning                                         | Action                                                                                         |
| --------------------------- | ----------------------------------------------- | ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Waiting for upload          | No recording has been submitted.                | Follow up with the contributor or send a corrected request.                                    |
| Quarantined                 | The file is stored but checks are not complete. | Wait for the checks. Do not approve it.                                                        |
| Security check              | Podigee is checking the file.                   | Wait for the result.                                                                           |
| Preparing playback versions | Podigee is creating delivery formats.           | Wait for preparation to complete.                                                              |
| Ready                       | Security and media preparation passed.          | Review and accept the submitted material.                                                      |
| Needs attention             | A security or media check failed.               | Open the related operation, correct the source file, and request a new submission when needed. |

The final approval action stays unavailable until the recording has a clean security receipt and a validated playback rendition.

## Review the submitted material

When **Media checks** shows **Ready**, review the exact recording against the agreed brief.

Check:

* The correct host or contributor recorded it.
* The message matches the approved brief.
* The required disclosure is present.
* The audio or video is complete and suitable for delivery.
* The scheduled period and usage rights still cover the planned run.

Add a review note, then select **Accept submitted material**. This records your assessment but does not connect the recording to delivery yet.

*Accept the exact submitted material only after its media checks are ready.*

## Complete the configured review

Follow the review rule shown on the page:

* **Optional review:** You can approve the host read directly or ask a teammate for advice.
* **Solo confirmation:** Confirm the exact Campaign context yourself before approval.
* **Independent review:** An authorized teammate must approve the exact recording before you can connect it.

If a reviewer returns the recording, send the contributor a corrected request. Do not replace the submitted file outside the governed workflow.

## Approve and connect the host read

Select **Approve and connect host read** after the media and review requirements are complete.

Podigee checks the exact:

* Submitted recording.
* Prepared playback rendition.
* Rights grant and scheduled period.
* Brand and order.
* Episode and ad break.
* Configured review evidence.

Podigee then connects these records as one approved host-read version.

Approval and connection do not change live delivery immediately. The updated Campaign must still pass its launch checks and publication flow.

## Expected result

The host read is **Approved and connected**. Its exact recording, rights confirmation, commercial agreement, episode, ad break, prepared playback version, and review evidence stay linked. It can become eligible for delivery only after the updated Campaign is published.
