This path helps an administrator keep Monetization useful and safe for both solo operators and larger teams. You need administrator permission for the workspace settings that you want to change. ## Set the boundaries ### 1. Set workspace and show scope Use [Set the workspace and show scope](/documentation/grow-and-monetize/monetization/set-the-workspace-and-show-scope.md). Select the workspace, business unit, and show before you change settings or records. Verify the breadcrumb before you save. ### 2. Use controlled values Use [Set currencies, markets, and controlled values](/documentation/grow-and-monetize/monetization/set-currencies-markets-and-controlled-values.md). Use the configured currency, market, language, category, and media values instead of free text. Add a new value in settings only when the organization has approved it. ## Manage people and review ### 3. Grant the smallest access Use [Add, change, revoke, or restore user access](/documentation/grow-and-monetize/monetization/add-change-revoke-or-restore-user-access.md) and [Assign a standard role](/documentation/grow-and-monetize/monetization/assign-a-standard-role.md). Select the person, role, scope, and access period together. Choose the review mode Use [Configure review rules](/documentation/grow-and-monetize/monetization/configure-review-rules.md). Choose no approval, optional review, Solo confirmation, or independent review for each action family. Configure privacy and retention Use [Configure privacy, identity, retention, and regional use](/documentation/grow-and-monetize/monetization/configure-privacy-identity-retention-and-regional-use.md). Set the identity, regional, retention, and sensitive-data rules before you connect a new delivery or reporting destination. ### 6. Fulfill privacy requests Use [Fulfill a privacy access or export request](/documentation/grow-and-monetize/monetization/fulfill-a-privacy-access-or-export-request.md) or [Fulfill a privacy deletion or restriction request](/documentation/grow-and-monetize/monetization/fulfill-a-privacy-deletion-or-restriction-request.md). Confirm the requester, scope, legal basis, records, and completion evidence. Do not delete a record that a legal hold or active settlement requires. ### 7. Use temporary sensitive access Use [Grant temporary sensitive access](/documentation/grow-and-monetize/monetization/grant-temporary-sensitive-access.md) only for a named job. Set the scope, purpose, start, expiry, and revocation condition. Remove the grant when the work is complete. ## Keep an audit trail Use [Reconstruct and export audit evidence](/documentation/grow-and-monetize/monetization/reconstruct-and-export-audit-evidence.md) for a support, privacy, or finance question. Keep the saved item version, actor, policy, decision, time, and reason together. Use [Archive an inactive record](/documentation/grow-and-monetize/monetization/archive-an-inactive-record.md) only after retention and settlement checks pass. ## If the administrator is blocked * **A person cannot see the show:** check role, scope, access period, and the selected context. * **A review blocks solo work:** check whether the action family should use Solo confirmation or no approval. * **A controlled value is missing:** add it through settings with an owner and review date. * **A privacy request conflicts with retention:** keep the hold and record the reason. * **A credential or identity is at risk:** use [Respond to a credential or security incident](/documentation/grow-and-monetize/monetization/respond-to-a-credential-or-security-incident.md) before you change access. ## Expected result Every operator sees the correct scope, every sensitive action uses an intentional rule, and privacy and audit requests produce complete evidence.
