# Inspect a generated content asset

Read one generated asset's full text, source IDs, type, status, and generation state.

Open the full asset only after you find it inside the intended podcast.

## Before you start

* Keep the asset ID from the generated content list.
* Confirm its title, type, podcast ID, and optional episode ID.

## Inspect the asset

1. Ask your agent to get the content asset by ID.
2. Confirm the podcast and source episode IDs.
3. Review the asset type and editorial status.
4. Review the generation status.
5. Read the complete body when present.
6. Compare claims, quotations, and episode references with transcript source material before reuse.

## Expected result

You have the current asset body and enough provenance to decide whether to reuse, revise, or reject it.

## If the body is unavailable

Review the generation status. The asset can still be queued, processing, failed, archived, or have no stored body. Do not invent a substitute or present the title as completed content.

## Next step

[Repurpose an episode with source-backed context](/documentation/start-here/ai-agents/search-and-repurpose-episode-content/repurpose-an-episode-with-source-backed-context.md).

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.podigee.com/documentation/start-here/ai-agents/search-and-repurpose-episode-content/inspect-a-generated-content-asset.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
