# Search what was said across a podcast

Search transcript passages across a podcast or within one episode.

Search relevant passages before you read whole transcripts or draft from memory.

## Before you start

* Find the podcast ID.
* Prepare a specific search query.
* Keep an episode ID when the search should stay within one episode.

## Search the podcast

1. Ask your agent to run `search_podcast_content` with the podcast ID and query.
2. Add the episode ID when the scope must be narrower.
3. Review each passage's episode ID, episode title, text, speaker, and time offsets.
4. Use `limit` and `offset` to request more results when needed. The response reports `total`.
5. Open the full transcript around important matches before quoting or drawing a conclusion.

## Expected result

You receive only matching source passages with enough episode and timing context to locate the original discussion.

## If no passage matches

Try a narrower synonym or related phrase. Confirm that Content Hub access and transcripts are available. Do not treat an empty search as proof that the topic was never discussed.
