# My podcast import failed

Resolve feed, target, plan, and durable-operation problems during a podcast import.

Start with a new dry run. The preview checks the feed and target before Podigee starts durable import work.

## Check the import request

1. Confirm that the feed uses a reachable public HTTP or HTTPS URL.
2. Open the feed without authentication and confirm that it returns valid podcast RSS.
3. Run `doctor` and check whether the plan permits the intended podcast or episode import.
4. Preview `import_podcast` again.
5. Check the previewed episode count and target podcast.
6. If you import into an existing podcast, confirm that choice explicitly.
7. Check `episode_limit` and `skip_episodes_without_audio` against your intended result.

## Check durable progress

Use the returned operation ID with `get_operation`. Resume only an operation in `failed_retryable`. Stop after a second identical failure and keep the operation evidence.

## Expected result

The operation reports progress and reaches `succeeded`. Inspect the imported podcast and episodes before you change the old host.

## Complete the old-host handoff

Podigee does not configure the old host's HTTP 301 redirect. Configure that redirect after you verify the imported feed. Skipping this step can leave existing subscribers on the old feed.

## If the import still fails

Send Podigee Support the feed URL, target podcast ID, operation ID, approximate time, previewed episode count, and sanitized error. Remove private query tokens from the feed URL before you send it.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.podigee.com/help-center/ai-agents/my-podcast-import-failed.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
