# What happens when a payment fails?

What changes in your Podigee account when a subscription payment fails, and how to fix it.

When a payment fails, Podigee marks your subscription with a payment warning. You can still sign in, manage your podcasts, and publish episodes while the warning is active.

### Fix the payment

1. Open the user menu and select **My account**, then open the **Billing** tab.
2. Under **Payment Method**, check the card or direct debit on file. To add a new one, select **Add Payment Method**. To update the existing one, open the billing portal.
3. Under **Invoices**, open the unpaid invoice with **Download PDF** if you need the details.

The Billing tab holds the payment method, the billing address, and the invoices.

The Podigee workspace does not include billing and invoice management yet. Switch to the classic view to check the payment method and the invoices.

## Good to know

* You cannot pause the subscription while an invoice is unpaid.
* If the payment stays open, Podigee can suspend the subscription. A suspended subscription cannot publish.
* Contact Podigee Support if the payment method is correct and the problem continues.
